1Backtoast

You pay $99 for two full tests of your own strategy, and a pass is an offer of 30% of the profit Backtoast makes trading it with its own money.

2TradeZella

It covers futures, stocks, forex and crypto, with about 100,000 users. There is no published slippage model, no walk-forward and no Monte Carlo.

TradingView's strategy tester sits on the chart most traders already use.

Testing

There are three ways to test: guided scenarios, a manual replay where you step through the chart and place each trade yourself, and the automated plain-English run, which is a beta from Pro up. Data goes back to September 2014, from 1-minute to daily bars, and the replay goes down to the second. You set risk as a percent and it sizes each trade so they all risk the same, and TradeZella says fills use historical bid and ask data. The plain-English tester has ICT price-action concepts built in, such as fair value gaps, order blocks, change of character and liquidity sweeps, so it suits traders who already describe setups that way. Running one strategy across several symbols is listed as coming.

Pricing

Billed yearly, Essential, Pro and Ultra work out to $26, $44 and $74 a month. Pro includes 10 automated runs a month and Ultra 100, and a rerun with changes doesn't count, while Essential is mostly manual replay, for up to 10 saved strategies.

Facts are from TradeZella's own pages, checked 23 and 31 October 2026.
